Gingerbread Playdough and Paperart

Playdough is soft and smooth and nice to touch! Engaging smell in the creative activity will further enhance the fun. You can make a wonderful Chrismassy Playdough by adding some spices.

Gingerbread Playdough

Ingredients makes 2 cups of dough

  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup salt
  • 2 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1 tbsp. ground cinnamon
  • 2 tsp. ground ginger
  • 1 tsp. ground nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. ground cloves
  • 2 tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tsp orange extract {optional}
  1. Mix the dry ingredients together in a saucepan – flour, salt, cream of tartar cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and cloves. 
  2. Add water, vegetable oil and orange extract. 
  3. Stir until a thick batter is formed.
  4. Cook on low/medium heat until a thick dough is formed. 
  5. Pour onto parchment paper and knead the dough.
