Thursday March 7 is World Book Day in the UK and Ireland! A celebration of reading and books. An initiative started by UNESCO.
The main aim in the UK and Ireland is to makes sure that children of all ages links books and reading with pleasure. And to make sure that all children are giving the opportunity to have a book of their own.

You find plenty of ideas and resources based upon popular children’s books and characters. World Book Day is also supporting Book Aid International, a charity dedicated to changing lives through books.
Tips and suggestions for making sure that you can prepare to celebrate World Book Day in your part of the world. In many countries, World Book Day is celebrated on the 23rdof April.
