Silly Summer Silliness

Lazy summer days!

Relax from all the seriousness of school and homework.

In the introduction to the book The Art of Silliness: A Creativity Book for Everyone Carla Sonheim says that she is not really a very silly person. She is actually a pretty serious person.

She writes,

“But “serious” does not equal “solemn”, and I feel lucky that I learned somewhat early on that keeping things fun is the only way to go.”

This book contains drawing worksheets. And it takes worksheets to a whole new level.

A blank sheet of paper can be a scary thing and this book inspires and prompts you to  get rid of the fear of drawing something silly.

We made blobs and looked for silly animals. We used a fine white marker and gelly roll pencils to draw in details.

Such fun to discover animals in the blobs made with acryclic paint.

Creativity is a natural extension of our enthusiasm
