Reading is Creative Thinking

Reading is important because it develops the mind. Children need to learn not only to figure out what kind of reading that is required but also which reading tools to use. Often reading means to summarize, infer, and make connections while reading. Children’s comprehension is sometimes tested to make sure that they have understood the intended messages.

Yet, reading is also a discussion with yourself. A way to find out more about the world by entering the world of the author. The creative thinking aspects are equally important to teach children. The ultimate goal is that children should enjoy reading. Reading fiction as well as non-fiction can be a creative thinking journey.
