The unicorn is mythological creature. A beast with a single large, pointed, spiralling horn projecting from its forehead. A white horse with a golden horn.
The unicorn is Scotland’s national animal. In Scotland, the unicorn was used on the Scottish royal coat of arms by William I in the 12th century. Gold coins with the unicorns on them, appeared in the 15th century.
Where did the idea of unicorns came from?
Narwahls look like unicorn whales and they are also known as the unicorns of the sea. There is also the Siberian unicorns, that resembles a cross between a horse and a rhinoceros. Elasmotherium sibiricum had a shaggy coat and a very big horn in the face.

Siberian unicorns appeared before the Ice Age and lived at the same time as early humans around 35,000 years ago.
So unicorns did exist!
